Dear Friends:
I am producing a Benefit Concert for a fellow student at Sandwich High School named Jeff Hayes. Jeff is a star defenseman on the hockey team and has been involved in sports throughout his life. He is an excellent student very well liked and respected in the town. Jeff has been diagnosed with Cancer and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments for the past year at the Jimmy Fund Clinic in Boston.
As part of my Senior Project at Sandwich High School I have decided to produce a concert to Benefit The Jeff Hayes Fund. The Jeff Hayes Fund is a non-profit Fund that helps support the medical expenses of Jeffs family, the Jimmy Fund, other local organizations that support cancer patients as well as a college scholarship available to a high school senior.
The concert will feature three local bands including A Day Late, A Dose of Reality, and Alius Spero. There will also be a DJ to play music between bands and raffle items will be awarded. Pizza, Soda and candy will be sold at the event as well as T-shirts. The concert is scheduled for May 6, 2006 from 7:00- 11:00PM at the Corpus Christi Parish Center with the help and cooperation of the Youth Ministry. Admission to the concert is $5.00 and tickets can be sold in advance or at the door.
I am also asking for cash donations of which no amount is too small. It is tax deductible and may be payable to:
The Jeff Hayes Fund

I am excited about producing a concert for this worthy cause while doing something I love. I am attending the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the fall and will be enrolled in the Sound Recording Technology Program in the Department of Music. I feel this concert not only benefits The Jeff Hayes Fund but also it is providing a fun and safe place for teenagers to enjoy a night out.
Should you have any questions or like to help out in any way, please do not hesitate to call. I really appreciate any amount you may be able to contribute. Thanks again for your time and attention.
Fondly,
Tom Prendergast
